Optimal alignment solUtions - a series of educational/movement workshops
The better aligned we are, the more congruent we are. Before thinking strength, it is essential that we think Alignment and proper biomechanics. When alignment is optimal, the muscles work naturally and efficiently. When not aligned we end up inhibiting or over exciting the muscles causing imbalance which can then lead to injuries and other pathologies.
Dysfunction in my own body has been one of my best teachers over the years and one thing I know is that optimal alignment in a lot of the traditional pilates and yoga poses is far from easy to achieve. I feel it is necessary to strip back and modify poses in order to make them accessible so that we can achieve a more balanced movement experience.
This is why I am currently developing the "Optimal Alignment Solutions" program, a series of educational workshops where you can learn essential basic and practical anatomy, whilst exploring movement patterns that will help you create more awareness and a pain free body.
